Mara W. Cohen Ioannides

Mara W. Cohen Ioannides graduated from Columbia and Carnegie Mellon Universities. She teaches composition and Jewish studies. Her areas of interest are Ozarks Jewry, Jewish American tourism, and haggadot. She has been published in Tourism Recreation Research; Tourism, Religion and Spiritual Journeys; AJA Journal; and SHOFAR. She edited a special edition of OzarksWatch. She co-received Missouri Arts Council and Community Foundation of the Ozarks grants, and she is the co-director of Home, Community, Tradition: The Women of Temple Israel. Her first novel, A Shout in the Sunshine (published by Jewish Publication Society), was a finalist for the 2007 National Jewish Book Award for Children and Young Adult Literature.
