Judith John
Professor
Judith Gero John joined the Missouri State English Department in 1992. A specialist in children's and adolescent literature, Dr. John has published articles on George MacDonald, Renaissance advice books, and dragons. She has written numerous grants, is active in several scholarly organizations, and works closely with the Springfield school district and the Missouri State College of Education to strengthen the English B.S.E. She has taught distance learning classes and introduced service learning on the Missouri State West Plains campus. She has earned teaching and service awards from both the university and the College of Arts and Letters. She also has a college research award and the university's Excellence in Community Service Award.
