Yili Shi
Associate Professor
Yili Shi teaches linguistics, TESOL methods, and composition. She
received her B.A. in English language and literature in China. She received
her M.A. in English and her Ph.D. in applied linguistics with a minor in
rhetoric and composition in the U.S. She has published a book titled
Discourse Analysis of Chinese Referring Expressions: An Application of
Gundel, Hedberg, and Zacharski's Givenness Hierarchy.
