Moon City Review
Moon City Review is a magazine that is published every spring semester by the Missouri State English Department and is distributed nationwide. The purpose of the magazine is to display creative writing pieces by students, faculty, and alumni of the Missouri State creative writing program. Distinguished writers and artists are also invited to contribute their works to the magazine.
The magazine was originally called Type, and it started in 1965 as a way for undergraduate students to exhibit their writing. The name was changed to Moon City Review in 2000. Since then, a goal of the magazine has been to provide a place where the cultures of the world can meet with the cultures of Missouri and the Ozarks. This goal was created to reflect the international focus of the university's mission, which became effective in 2000.
Moon City Review also places great emphasis on excellence in design. Unsolicited manuscripts and artwork cannot be accepted.
