Organizations

The organizations in the Missouri State English Department allow students to gain valuable experience in their fields of study. Students involved in these organizations learn to manage additional responsibilities while keeping up with their course work. In addition, these organizations provide opportunities for students to acquire valuable skills in particular areas of study through attending workshops, hearing speakers' presentations, and having access to members-only publications.

All Missouri State students are encouraged to join English Department organizations. None of the organizations require members to be English majors or minors. Students involved in these organizations develop lasting friendships with their peers as well as with their teachers, which helps create a more enjoyable and memorable college experience.
