Core and Degree Requirements
All students seeking a Master of Arts in English degree complete the same core and degree requirements. In addition, students specialize in their particular area of study by completing requirements in their track. Track Requirements
In addition to the core and degree requirements, students who choose the graduate track in literature must complete the following courses:
| Electives in Literature, Linguistics, Theory, Writing | 8–9 hrs. |
| ENG 699: Thesis or
alternative 600-level course work and two degree papers |
6 hrs. |
| Total | 14–15 hrs. |
