Writing II Courses in Technical Writing

Our courses accommodate students from the merely curious to the most advanced. For all degree programs, look at a current Missouri State undergraduate catalog (Department of English section) to learn more about the required and elective courses.

Students who want to discover more about technical writing and improve their writing skills may enroll in either of our Writing II offerings: English 221: Writing for the Professions, or English 321: Beginning Technical Writing. These courses also fulfill a general- education requirement.

Any of our faculty would be happy to show you examples of their course policies, including descriptions of assignments. Many technical writing courses include experience in the visual elements that make documents appealing and readable. Also, internships and service- learning instruction afford opportunities for real-world experience.
