American, regional and international folklore
A 15-hour minor in folklore will help make you an expert of the traditions and wisdom of different cultures.
You will explore fairy tales, legends, myths, games and superstitions – the shared lore of a group of people. You will also learn to conduct ethnographic research.
Program requirements
As part of your folklore coursework, you will study literature, ethnography, American and Ozarks folklore. You can obtain a Folklore minor with any of the following degrees.
- Bachelor of Arts
- Bachelor of Fine Arts
- Bachelor of Science
- Bachelor of Science in Education (Non-certifiable)
