'Books to the Rescue' Book Sale
The English Department’s English Week Book Sale will be held Monday, April 4th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the second floor landing of Siceluff Hall.
Shop a variety of beautiful books, including novels, short story collections, poetry, essay collections, graphic narrative, memoir, history, art, and more ~ all priced between $1-4! Proceeds from the book sale will go directly to 'Books to the Rescue', a nonprofit organization promoting childhood literacy and increased access to reading materials by raising funds to sponsor a local elementary school's annual book fair.
Sadly, far too many children are unable to participate in these book fairs due to restrictive economic circumstances beyond their control, which not only eliminates precious opportunities to further develop reading skills but also reinforces feelings of exclusion. Therefore, all funds raised will go towards ensuring that every student will be able to select books that interest them and are theirs to keep. Grab some new books for spring and summer reading while supporting a fantastic cause!
While you’re shopping, be sure to take a #shelfie at our Instagram wall, where you can pose with your new books and share your excitement about English Week!
